We offer classes with the following certification agencies:
NAUI's courses cover the full breadth of recreational scuba diving instruction, including specialties for professionals as well.
PSDA's courses focus on instruction for public safety divers, but also covers instruction for laypeople to help support a public safety diving experience.
DAN Courses The largest diving medical emergency assistance association of recreational scuba divers in the world, DAN is supported by membership dues and donations. DAN's mission is to help divers in need of medical emergency assistance and to promote dive safety through research,education, products and diving services.
DAN Dive Insurance while diving accidents in training are rare, all persons enrolled in a course at BHAA will automatically be covered, at no cost to the student,for any dive related accident while in training.
Call or come in to sign up for a class - that's the first step! We have pre-scheduled dates for Refresher, Open Water and Advanced classes. For those classes, just figure out the dates that work best for you and check to make sure the class has openings. Please inquire about other courses at the dive shop.
Early registration required for all classes due to on-line portion
You will have to pay for the course and purchase mask, fins. booties and snorkel (unless you already have those) - that's it!
Purchasing your course includes the books, elearning access, class room, pool session(s) and open water (likely at Lake Pactola or Lake Oahe) in warm weather.
Depending on the course, you need to supply your own mask, fins, booties, and snorkel and any other items specific to the course. Rental equipment is available for all courses (Wetsuit,hood, gloves, Regulator, Weights, Buoyancy Control Device (BCD), and Cylinders).
If you are currently under the care of a medical doctor, or have a pre-existing medical condition that requires permission from a physician, you will need to have a signed medical release form from your doctor before you can participate in any in-water activities. The dive shop will supply you with a medical form specific to diving.
